Jaguars are pretty cool swimmers. Now I got to know of it only after watching this video. Since, all I knew about big cats was that they all hated water just like smaller cats did. But that is not the case many lions, cheetahs somehow forcibly cross the river while swimming. Though, yes they hate it but they have adapted to the need. Jaguar on the other hand are potentially good swimmers and can be said have adapted probably the best out of all the species. This one has been swimming for a while to reach to the bank and as the commentator narrates, it is probably an adult male.
After the casual swim, the male is slowly walking by the bank in order to look out for some potential pray. The commentator though is providing a pretty good summary but still one has to elaborate every now and then. After a while of search the jaguar spots something by the small dry land in the midst of the river. What you see is basically an alligator catching up on his tan not realizing that this is its last tan of the season. The jaguar makes its move from behind and it is only a matter of a few seconds when it pounded over the alligator and held it in a way that made it practically immovable.
