People have very weird aspects of studying the law on their own where they figure out the clauses where it is said how and where can a person express their freedom to do so and so, but they do not understand that at many points the clause in the law are not explained with due examples as in, where the clause gets nullified and you become a douche bag by that point.
This man is videotaping the police department. Now in normal circumstances it would have been yeah, it is a public property and I have the right to do so. Yes the police is a public serving department but the way you are considering the premises as public property that can be videotaped is in many peoples’ opinion the point where you go full retard. Public places are like parks or libraries and such areas, but departments specially that contains really sensitive information is not generally considered a public property. Yes, you can come in and go anytime but as the officer said no, you are not allowed to record it since there are more than a hundred kinds of threats that the department can be exposed to after the leakage of such videos.
